About Dr. Andrea E. Liacouras, Au.D., CCC-A

A 2nd Ear Hearing Andrea Liacouras bio pictureDr. Andrea Liacouras is an Audiologist who has been in practice for over 15 years and has worked extensively in the diagnoses and treatments of hearing loss and vestibular (balance) challenges. She holds a National Certification from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Dr. Liacouras earned her  Master of Science and Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degrees from Gallaudet University in Washington, DC and then completed her Audiology residency at Georgetown University Hospital. Previous to those degrees, she completed a Master of Science degree in Education of the Deaf/Hard of hearing and is therefore also fluent in Sign Language. 

Dr. Liacouras has worked in school, clinic, military, hospital and private practice settings, during her career, with a specialization in pediatrics.  She has extensive experience with newborns through geriatrics while treating high risk patients that have suffered from vertigo, migraines, strokes, tumors, various diseases and other degenerative conditions.  She has also developed a treatment plan for patients suffering from vertigo and migraines through use of amplification.   She founded A 2nd Ear to provide excellent and affordable hearing and balance care and to meet the growing needs of patients and their families, using telehealth technology, from the comfort of their own environments. A 2nd Ear currently serves Maryland, DC, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
